Pulmonaria excalibur

With most plants half the battle is finding the position in which they do best. For Pulmonaria this is crucial. I have often seen them listed as shade plants and in my opinion they are not.
I have a fondness for this genus and so have grown them all over my garden. There is a spot on my nature strip where they absolutely flourish, here they are in deciduous shade for most of the day but receive 2 hours of full on midday sun, the whole clump collapses in the heat but bounce back immediately its gone.
Excalibur is a good one, I have grown it for many years. The spring flowers are a rose purple colour and its foliage intense silver.
All Pulmonaria are susceptible to mould during the first warm weather. Just cut them to the ground and they come back again strong and healthy.
