This is a penstemon like no other. The foliage resembles pine needles and its red tubular flowers appear in late spring on 20cm stems and in profusion. It is native to the southern Rocky Mountains in the USA. and Mexico.
Best grown in a very well drained position with full sun and some irrigation during the dry months
