Imperata cylndrica rubra (blood grass)

This is a perennial grass so goes down over winter. Blood grass does not tolerate dry conditions and in my opinion does best with morning sun only, just enough to colour up its leaves. It can have so many uses in the garden but is not a plant and walk away grass.
