Coprosma petrei

A tiny New Zealand native coprosma. It is a subalpine plant found growing on screes and in rocky places. This plant forms a dense mat of tiny, glossy evergreen leaves 10cm high and very slowly spreading out. In summer the leaves are deep green then during winter they turn to bronze.
