Cardiocrinum are tricky in pots so best planted in the garden quite quickly. I am selling plants 3 years from seed and with a pinch of seedlings in each pot, this is way off flowering size, at least 3 years. These are plants for the patient gardener.
They need constant moisture, good soil and dappled sun.
The flowering height is a little over 2m

The Himalayan lily is a plant for cool climate gardens only. It has naturalised in the fern gully at Pirianda gardens just down the road from my nursery where the seedlings come up in great numbers in exposed soil or where parks vic have been clearing weeds. This is a monocarpic plant meaning the bulbs die after flowering. Generally there are plenty of offsets around the main bulb which keeps them going
