Brachyglottis greyi var. sunshine

This is a very useful plant from New Zealand. It grows to around 70cm x 1m and has yellow daisy flowers held just above its foliage in mid spring. I am inclined to pruning it at flowering time preferring to use it as a foliage plant rather than a flowering shrub. The most useful aspect of this shrub is its ability to grow happily in dry shade where the silver foliage can be used as a contrast against mostly deep green plants.If left unchecked this plant will get leggy so an annual prune is necessary to keep a compact shade. It will shot back freely from old wood.
