Arisaema ringens

One of the easiest aroids that also has spectacular flowers and large sumptuous foliage throughout summer. The tubers of this Arisaema are not painfully slow to increase especially if grown in a large tub and pampered over its long growing season with plenty of liquid fertilisers and some slow release as well. The most difficult thing about this plant is nursing it through dormancy. When its leaves deteriorate in autumn the tubers are best lifted and stored in the shed buried in a pot of sand or dryish potting mix. When they start to surface in late winter they should be potted again and kept in the shade.
These plants are now dormant and posted in tubes way too small for them, so they will need to be moved on before the growing season
